The Savonuzzi Ghias
One of the most interesting 1900s is the Savonuzzi-designed Ghia coupe, of which twelve appear to have been built. Ten survivors are shown here, and two have disappeared (*01905* and *01948*). Each one was a bit different, and two very similar bodies were built on Jaguar chassis. Each car is shown in similar front and rear views, although in several cases I had to flip the photo horizontally (side-to-side) to get matching views. I think this helps to compare the features of individual cars. Below the Alfas, I've included the similar Savonuzzi XK-140 Jaguars. All of these cars are actually left-hand drive (LHD).

Below are the two Jaguar XK-140s with Savonuzzi Ghia coachwork. They are virtually indentical to the last version of the Savonuzzi Ghia Alfa 1900s, chassis number *02186*, above, except for the addition of a hood scoop. The grille openings on all three of these cars are noticably squarer than on the pre-02186 Alfas and the Jaguars, oddly, include the outline of an Alfa scaduto (shield) inside the grille opening. The taillights, which combine elements of all the previous Savonuzzi Ghias, are integrated into a vertical bumper extension.
